20 designers paired with 10 legendary restaurants in Hat Yai to create designs through the narratives of 'stories behind the scenes' in the exhibition 'Luk Yob Lang Rarn | Tell The Untold Stories.' The hidden stories and charms behind these legendary eateries, which many may not know, will be unveiled and depicted through design works in the Pakk Taii Design Week 2024. "Tamrab Muslim Restaurant" is an authentic Muslim eatery that has been serving up delicious food court-style cuisine in the heart of Hat Yai, on the main street of Niphat Uthit 1, for over 24 years. The restaurant's unique and flavorful dishes have attracted a large following, with 80% of customers being tourists from Malaysia and Indonesia. The bustling atmosphere is filled with the enticing aroma of spices, inviting you to try their signature dishes such as Grilled beef Khao Yam, Traditional Noodles, Roti with Curry, Thai Southern Tea, Beef Soup, Goat Curry, as The fusion of Southern Thai and Malaysian cuisine. To share this culinary heritage with the local community, we, as designers, collaborated with the restaurant to create a "Secret Menu Curtain" that reveals the secrets of Muslim cuisine, along with a new and improved "Coupon System" for both Thai and foreign customers. This initiative aims to enhance the dining experience for everyone and introduce more people to the rich flavors of Muslim food.
