SONGKHLA SKOWHOOD : Phetchakhiri Rd.

Songkhla Slowhood is a project that invites people to get to know Songkhla through the quiet charm of its small streets. This time, we’re taking you to explore Phetchakhiri Road a neighborhood filled with old shops, local communities, and a slow, meaningful way of life. But this project is not just about one street. It connects Phetchakhiri to other parts of the city—like the area around the old train station, the lake, fresh markets, the Sunday flea market, the walking street, and the town center near the clock tower. All these places show how every part of the city plays a role in the life of Songkhla. We use design as a way to tell these stories especially through street branding. Signs, pop-up displays, and a small exhibition will help share the past, present, and future of Songkhla through visuals. There will also be fun workshops and live music for everyone to enjoy. This project isn’t just for tourists it’s mainly for the people of Songkhla. We hope it helps locals see the beauty in their everyday surroundings, and reminds us that even a quiet street with no famous landmarks can become a meaningful place full of life.
