Creative Nakhon

Hip & Holy

The exhibition “Axis of Silence” invites viewers to journey inward— toward the quiet center of the mind, where deep stillness remains untouched, even amidst the chaos of the outside world. Inspired by Hua Na Mo, a sacred inscription found on amulets and folk art from the ancient Tambralinga Kingdom (present-day Nakhon Si Thammarat), Hua Na Mo was used in ritual practices to ward off epidemics during the reign of King Sri Thammasokaraj. Inscribed in ancient Pallava script with the character “Na”, it symbolizes the beginning of meditation and the inner return to stillness. Nakhon Si Thammarat thus becomes a land of spiritual axis—a center of faith and the power of the mind. This pavilion is not about religion, but about pausing, breathing, and listening to the silence of the present paradise— a moment of peace we can access, here and now, while we are still alive.
